Are we headed for a global great depression?

Recent studies seem to indicate that we could hit a global great depression by 2030 with our current rate of consumption. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Should I start buying canned soup?

Its seems like the situation is not so clear, with everyday we become more and more suspicion about our future, because of the media spreading words that are more or less truth. Or could be a world conspiration!
